November 24th Greats Plains Action Society will join forces with The Des Moines Black Liberation Movement, Des Moines Mutual Aid, and Edna Griffin Mutual Aid in a Truthsgiving event where we will distribute a large amount of propane tanks to the Des Moines houseless communities that require them to stay safely warm during the winter.

This will be both an action of solidarity with the communities and another strike towards class equality in the Mutual Aid tradition, which has been and continues to be influenced by Indigenous teachings in horizontal organizing.

This is not a charity event in as much as it is another tactic to strengthen all of our communities as we work towards a world our future generations deserve.
